Shiann Clayborn scattered three hits over seven innings, walking one and striking out five, as host Delta defeated Oran 4-1 in girls softball action Wednesday afternoon.
Rachel Birkman and Megan Perry each had doubles to pace Delta's six-hit attack. The Bobcats improved to 4-9 while dropping the Eagles to 9-4.
"This was a huge win for us because it's in our district," Delta coach Rebecca Cook said. "And it's the first time in several years that we've beaten Oran."
Tatum May took the loss in the circle for the Eagles.

Samantha Ratledge led Kelly (13-4) with three hits.
Alexis Dock got the win in the circle. She allowed just two hits with five strikeouts and three walks while not allowing a run. She also had a double and triple.
Miranda House suffered the loss. She pitched a complete game and gave up seven earned runs on eight hits with two strikeouts and four walks.

Matt Chism and Ferdinand Busch each added a goal for Central (8-6).
Goalkeepers Nathan Mecum and Spencer Kidd combined for four saves in the shutout.

Kirsti Pohlman dished out 10 assists and Abby Bergman recorded 10 digs for Saxony Lutheran (10-8).
