GREENVILLE -- The Delta girls basketball team remained perfect and set up yet another sectional matchup with rival Scott County Central by routing second-seeded Lesterville 56-35 on Friday in the finals of the Class 1 District 2 tournament.
The Bobcats, ranked No. 1 in Class 1, improved to 26-0. Delta will face Scott County Central (19-7) in the sectional round Tuesday at Poplar Bluff High School. This will be the fourth straight sectional meeting between the teams.
"It's just a good rivalry, a good matchup," Delta coach Randy White said. "Both teams get up for it. It's good for basketball."
Delta built a 26-13 halftime lead and put the game out of reach with an 18-7 scoring edge in the fourth quarter. Ashley Deprow led the Bobcats with 20 points, Kaci Menz had 16 points and Jodi Menz had 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Last year, the Bobcats finished third in Class 1. Delta has beaten the Bravettes in the sectional round the last two years.
In the boys championship game, Bell City captured its sixth straight district title with a 79-40 romp of second-seeded Eminence.
The top-seeded Cubs won their 20th straight game to improve to 24-4.
Bell City will face Scott County Central in the sectional round Tuesday at Poplar Bluff.
Bell City took control of the game from the start, leading 22-9 after one quarter.
Will Bogan led Bell City with 23 points, Nick Niemczyk had 22, Phillip Gross had 11 and Austin Segers added 10.

Class 3 District 1
The Kelly girls basketball team captured its third straight district title by routing No. 3 New Madrid County Central 67-52 in the Class 3 District 1 finals Friday at New Madrid.
The top-seeded Hawks will face Doniphan on Wednesday at Poplar Bluff in the sectional.
Brittany Ponder, one of six seniors on the roster, led the Hawks (23-6) with 20 points, and fellow senior Nikki Weiny had 16 points. Debra Hall added 14.
The Scott City boys team, which had won 14 of its last 15 games, could not keep their momentum going against top-seeded Charleston and fell 81-50 in the district final.
Rynn Eskew led the Rams (18-7) with 13 points and Alex King added 11.
