__Carr Vernon to tee off at Osprey Valley Open__

Former Poplar Bluff Mule Carr Vernon will tee off at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in the first round of the Osprey Valley Open at TPC Toronto (Heathlands) in Caldeon, Ontario, Canada.

Vernon is coming off of an appearance on the Korn Ferry Tour but he returns to PGA Tour Canada as the 19th-ranked player in the Fortinet Cup rankings.

In his last two finishes on the Tour, Vernon reeled in two top-10 finishes, including a fourth-place finish at the Quebec Open as he shot a 17-under, his best tournament of the season.

__3v3 Live Soccer Tournaments coming to Poplar Bluff__

3v3 Live National Soccer Tour is hosting tournaments for ages 5-adults on Sunday at Whiteley Park in Poplar Bluff.

Boys & girls travel teams: 19U-6U, along with adult men and women’s tournaments are available. Tournaments can be competitive or developmental.

Cost is $225 to enter with a four-game guarantee.

Anybody can coach, anybody can play. Medals will be given for first, second and third, along with a T-shirt for each player.

__Motorsports Park to host Comp Cams racing Friday__

Mother Nature has taken several checkered flags this season at the Poplar Bluff Motorsports Park but the action is back Friday with $5000 on the line.

The Comp Cams Super Dirt Series is making a stop in PB with B-Mods, Factory Stocks and Vintage Cars getting in on the racing.

Action starts at 7:30 p.m. with the grandstands opening at 6 p.m. Adults are $20 with veterans, first responders and seniors being $15. Kids 12 and under are free.

__FCA to host ‘Huddle Leadership Camp’ in PB__

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes of Southeast Missouri is building off of its recent success in Poplar Bluff with a “Huddle Leadership Camp” Friday at First Baptist Church.

The event is geared to train student leaders in a huddle setting, compete in large group games and learning how to share your testimony. FCA is also hosting a camp on Thursday at Notre Dame in Cape Girardeau.
