But the Cubs (15-4) jumped on the Hornets with a 22-10 first period and stretched the lead to 15 at halftime. The Cubs led 59-32 after three periods.

Six-foot-10 senior Will Bogan, who on Thursday announced his commitment to Southeast Missouri State, had 19 points and 21 rebounds.

Niemczyk, Bogan, Austin Segars and Phillip Gross made the all-tournament team from Bell City.

Advance was playing without Trenton Moses, who was out due to illness. Moses still made the 12-player all-tournament team.

Advance's Alex Steil, who had 13 points to lead the Hornets, also made the all-tournament team.

Puxico beat Dexter 76-59 for third place.

Caleb Estes exploded for 34 points, including eight 3-pointers, as visiting Scott City pounded Meadow Heights on a night when the home team recognized its national 3-pointer record (36, last year against Marquand) by unveiling a banner.

Alex King added 20 points, Jay Simmons had 15 points, Jamie Pinkston scored 11 and Rynn Eskew had 10 for the Rams (12-6).

Tyler Wagner had 20 points, Sam Russell added 12 and John Long had 11 for Meadow Heights (5-12).
