DEXTER — Love did not mean zero Friday in Dexter Bearcat high school tennis. Instead, the Bearcat boys’ tennis team served love — $3,000 — to help battle cancer in Stoddard County.

“I am super proud of my boys’ and girls’ tennis teams for keeping the spirit of giving alive,” said Kristi Boles, Bearcat head coach and Courts for Cancer founder.

Bloomfield Elementary principal Jennifer Bolin received $1,000 in love offerings from the DHS boys’ tennis team.

Boles added, “Another $1,000 love offering was sent to Friends of Kids with Cancer in St. Louis.”

Since 2019, Courts for Cancer raised $11,425 to battle cancer.

Boles said, “We would like to say thank you again to our sponsors and community for helping us in our efforts.”
