Brevin Giebler shot a final round 2-under-par 70 to win his seventh consecutive men's club championship Sunday at Dalhousie Golf Club.
Giebler finished with a three-round total of 219 -- he also had rounds of 79 and 70 -- to win by 10 strokes over Drew Denton (74-78-77--229).
David Babcock (75-79-83--237) placed third, eight shots behind Denton. Troy Bell (80-79-81--240) was fourth, and Ian Southar (79-88-79--246) was fifth.
Dee Johnson won the women's club championship with back-to-back rounds of 82 for a 164 total.
In men's A flight, Bob Gile (89-84) placed first at 173, three strokes ahead of Darius Seabaugh (85-91--176). Bob Garrett (91-86--177) took third, while Cord Dombrowski (88-90--178*' finished fourth.
Tom Tindall (81-81) won men's B flight with a 162. Terry Bozzay (99-92--191) placed second, and Bill Bishop (97-95--192) finished third.
In women's A flight, Ann Dombrowski (98-90) took first at 188, while Eileen Owens (96-95) was second at 191.
Ray Boren of Cape Girardeau fired his first career hole-in-one recently at Kimbeland Country Club.
Boren used a 4-hybrid to ace No. 8, a par 3 playing 154 yards. Witnesses were Wayne Steffens, Larry Welker and Clint Ruppel.
The 77-year-old Boren has been playing golf for 50 years.
Bill Bishop fired a hole-in-one Saturday at Dalhousie Golf Club.
Bishop used a 6-iron to ace No. 13, a par 3 playing 142 yards. Witnesses were Terry Bozzay and Tom Tindall.
Ron Legrand and Travis Braswell won the recent 10-team SEMO Horseshoe Association event at the Knights of Columbus in Leopold, Missouri.
Randy Senciboy and James Hillis placed second, while Joe Keller and Kelcee Davault took third.
In the 10-team event in Bell City, Missouri, Mike Kluesner and Lachelle Cook finished first. Melody Williams and Carolyn Schreckenberg finished runner-up, while Joe Keller and Davault took third.
