Donna Wheeler and Joyce Kuntze claimed first place in the Women's Golf Association's Eclectic Golf Tournament last week at Cape Girardeau Country Club.
Mary Ellen Bean and Kathy Morris placed second.
Shirley Moore and Wendi Carns won A flight, with Sheryl Bollinger and Priscilla Kirby second. Beth Mapes and Catharine Weed finished first in B flight, while Mary Alice Regenhardt and Christy Neubert took second.
Closest-to-the-hole winners were Bean (No. 2), Judi Brey (No. 6), Neubert (No. 13) and Mapes (No. 16).
Tyler Thrower of Cape Girardeau carded a hole-in-one recently at Cape Jaycee Municipal Golf Course.
Thrower used an 8-iron to ace No. 3, a par 3 hole playing 142 yards. Witnesses were John Trible, Larry Dowdy and George Glasscock.
Travis Braswell and Gary Glastetter won the recent SEMO Horseshoe Association event at the Backyard Horseshoe Club in Grassy, Missouri.
Brian Ressel and Randy Senciboy finished second, while Make Davault and Sierra Miller took third.
In the competition at the Jackson Knights of Columbus, Ron LeGrand and Brent Pindle finished first. Senciboy and Rick Garland placed second, while Davault and Doris Stubenrauch took third.
The next competition will be Saturday at the Benton Neighbor Day in Benton, Missouri.
