Mike Davault and Cori Stoverink teamed to win the SEMO Horseshoe Association's annual Tournament of Champions on Oct. 4 at the Knights of Columbus in Oran, Missouri.
Matt Backfisch and Lachelle Cook placed second, Randy Grady and James Hillis took third, and Terry Holder and Tracy Stoverink finished fourth in the 22-team event.
Cook finished first in the season standings with 168 points, followed by Carolyn Schreckenberg with 88 and Randy Senciboy with 70.
Dreika Killeen was named the most improved player, while Samuel Rains and Brent Prindle were inducted into the organization's hall of fame.
Don Call of Cape Girardeau fired his first hole-in-one Thursday at Kimbeland Country Club.
Call used a 9-iron to ace No. 18, a par 3 playing 120 yards. Witnesses were Glen Harter, Craig Horky and Ron Bowers.
Call has been playing golf for 45 years.
Gerald Blattel of Chaffee, Missouri, carded this third career hole-in-one Tuesday at Kimbeland Country Club.
Blattel used an 8-iron to ace No. 18, a par 3 playing 128 yards. Witnesses were Bill Newman and Mike Enders.
Dan Braswell of Cape Girardeau sank his second career hole-in-one Sunday at Kimbeland Country Club.
Braswell used a 7-iron to ace No. 12, a par 3 playing 141 yards. Braswell's wife, Jill, witnessed the shot. Both of Braswell's aces have come on the same hole.
Jim Johnson and Dee Johnson shot a 70 to win the Chili Couples two-person scramble at Dalhousie Golf Club.
The teams of Jim Childress and Maria Childress and Ian Soutar and Corrine Soutar both shot 72 to finished tied for second.
Clay Crosson and Sheila Crosson shot a 76 and won a scorecard playoff to finish atop A flight. Brock Alspaugh and Danielle Alspaugh won B flight with a 78.
Closest-to-the-pin winners were Dean Edwards (No. 5), Sheila Crosson (No. 8), Albert Pujols (No. 11) and Dee Johnson (No. 13).
Cord Dombrowski and Ann Dombrowski had the low-putt total with 23.
