MURRAY, Ky. -- Southeast Missouri State University's volleyball team continued its domination of Ohio Valley Conference opponents on Saturday, recording another sweep with a three-set victory over host Murray State at Racer Arena.

The 15-9, 15-6, 15-4 victory was also the 300th in the career of Southeast head coach Cindy Gannon.

Southeast improved to 14-8 on the season and a perfect 10-0 in OVC play. Of Southeast's 10 conference wins, nine have been by sweeps. The Otahkians went four sets in an Oct. 12 victory over Eastern Illinois.

Krista Haukap and Lea Beckemeyer again paced Southeast's attack. Haukap recorded 25 kills and Beckemeyer was right behind with 24. Rachelle Knapp served three aces while Haukap had two. Beckemeyer also had a match-high 13 digs while Emily Johnson had a match-high eight blocks. Emily Scannell handed out 53 assists.

Southeast soccer nabs big win over MTSU

The Southeast women's soccer team picked up a big non-conference victory Saturday night as it looks ahead to next weekend's OVC Tournament.

Southeast (9-5-1) blanked Middle Tennessee State 2-0 at Houck Stadium. The Lady Raiders (6-9) had earlier in the season knocked off OVC champion Eastern Illinois.

After a scoreless first half, the Otahkians got second-half goals from Erika Todd and Karen Schmitt. Todd's tally came on a penalty kick while Valerie Henderson assisted on Schmitt's score.

Otahkian goalkeeper Tami Hebert recorded her OVC-leading seventh shutout of the season as she was credited with nine saves. MTSU held a 23-14 edge in shots.

Otahkian tennis team falls to Harding

Southeast played its first dual match of the fall practice season Friday and suffered a loss to visiting Harding. The Otahkians lost eight of the 10 matches played.
