NEW YORK -- Roger Clemens struck out 13 and earned his 287th career win, pitching the New York Yankees past the Minnesota Twins 3-0 Sunday.
Clemens (7-2) moved past Hall of Famer Robin Roberts and matched Bert Blyleven for 22nd place on baseball's all-time victory list. Blyleven, a broadcaster for the Twins, was in the ballpark.
Clemens gave up four hits in eight innings and won his sixth straight start. Mariano Rivera pitched the ninth for his 13th save.
Robin Ventura hit a two-run homer off Matt Kinney (1-4) in the sixth sent the Yankees to their 11th victory in 12 games.

BOSTON -- Brian Daubach doubled in the go-ahead run to lead Boston past Seattle and a win in the series between the teams with the two best records in baseball.
The Red Sox took the last two games after losing the opener against the AL West leaders. That enabled them to maintain the best record in the majors (29-11) over Seattle (29-14).
Daubach's RBI hit in the third made it 3-2 against Freddy Garcia (4-4). Boston starter John Burkett (5-0) left after scuffling through five innings. Tim Wakefield pitched three shutout innings before Ugueth Urbina got his 14th save in 15 tries.

Royals 5, Indians 4
CLEVELAND -- Jim Thome let Carlos Beltran's two-out grounder bounce through his legs at first base, allowing two runs to score as Kansas City rallied past Cleveland.
Cleveland should have escaped with a win when Bob Wickman (0-2) got Beltran to hit a hopper at Thome, but the first baseman couldn't come up with it and the ball squirted past him into right field for an error.
Jason Grimsley (2-2) got two outs in the eighth for the win, and Roberto Hernandez worked the ninth for his fifth save.
Devil Rays 4, Orioles 0

Harper (1-1) allowed four hits in five innings. Kent finished with four innings of one-hit relief for his first career save.
