The Class 3, District 1 golf tournament scheduled for Thursday was postponed until Monday due to damage sustained at Bent Creek Golf Course in a tornado earlier this week.
The 11-team district will tee off at 8:30 a.m. Monday.
Bent Creek opened its back nine for play on Thursday after sustaining damage to seven holes on the front nine in Tuesday night's storm. Bent Creek co-owner Mike Litzelfelner said all 18 holes may be open by today and everything should be back to normal by the weekend.
"We had some fairly significant damage mainly from fallen trees and debris from houses in the area that were virtually destroyed," Litzelfelner said. "Our thoughts are far more with the homeowners than with ourselves."
Litzelfelner said the greens sustained several gouges from debris that were repaired on Wednesday and Thursday.
"We'll be cleaning remnants from major tree damage most the summer, but it won't affect the golf course," he said. "People probably will be able to see as long as they play golf out here the result of the twister that hit on Tuesday night."
