The Bulldogs beat Bell City 88-14 to advance in the winner's bracket.

Bell City scored the first two points of the game, but it was all downhill from there.

Third-seeded Notre Dame scored the next 62 points on its way to a lopsided win.

Sophomore Quinn Poythress led the Bulldogs (4-5) with 17 points.

"Our main goal was to play hard and really get after them" Bulldogs coach Kevin Roberts said. "We had a real strong game against Kennett last week and really wanted to build on that. Our goal was to come out here and jump on them right away."

Cody Debrock and Grant Ressel added 13 points each for Notre Dame. Jordan Barber and Dalton Welch had 12 apiece.

Bell City coach Steve Wells knew his 14th-seeded Cubs (0-8) faced a monumental challenge, but he emphasized they could have performed better.

"Tough game. We just got to get rid of it. It's like I told the team, it's ancient history," Wells said. "I'm 100 percent positive we could have done some things better. We have to learn from the mistakes we made."
