K.J. Choi hit a 3-wood into 20 feet for an eagle on the opening hole, staking him to a big lead he never surrendered at the Chrysler Championship at Innisbrook in Palm Harbor, Fla.
He closed with a 4-under 67 for a four-shot victory over Paul Goydos (70) and Brett Wetterich (66), making him eligible for the Tour Championship next week.
Choi finished at 13-under 271 for his second win in the event in five years.
Champions Tour
Jim Thorpe won the Charles Schwab Cup Championship in Sonoma, Calif., while Loren Roberts lost $500,000 with one big hiccup.
Thorpe won a 4-under 68 in the Champions Tour's season-ending event, cruising to a two-stroke victory over Tom Kite.
But Roberts, Thorpe's playing partner, provided the real drama when he missed a 4 1/2-foot putt on the tournament's final hole. With that single miss, Jay Haas won the two players' back-and-forth, season-long points competition for the Charles Schwab Cup and the resulting $1 million annuity.

Annika Sorenstam led wire-to-wire in the Dubai Ladies Masters in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, for her second Ladies European Tour victory of the year, shooting a 3-under 68 for a six-stroke victory.

Jin Joo Hong became the third South Korean player to win the country's lone LPGA Tour event in her first tour start, closing with a 2-under 70 for a three-stroke victory in the Kolon-Hana Bank Championship in Gyeongju, South Korea.
Hong had an 11-under 205 total on the Mauna Ocean Golf Club course. Compatriot Jeong Jang (68) finished second.
European PGA Tour
Padraig Harrington won the European Order of Merit with a big boost from Sergio Garcia, whose bogey on the final hole of the Volvo Masters in Sotogrande, Spain, moved the Irishman into a three-way tie for second and allowed him to win the money title.
