Scott Chestnutt poured in 31 points as Central's boys basketball team knocked off visiting Caruthersville 63-46 Wednesday night and improved to 11-3.
Chestnutt hit 12 of 16 shots from the field as the Tigers shot 69 percent as a team, connecting on 24 of 35.
Ryan Delph and Eli Harris both scored nine points for Central. Mitch Craft had eight points and 12 rebounds.
"We really shot the ball well, Scott had a great game and Mitch really got on the boards," Central coach Derek McCord said.
Kyle Hubbard had 20 points for Caruthersville (4-5), which trailed just 31-27 at halftime.
Central's JV (6-4) lost 48-43 despite 16 points from Tyrone Reece and 11 from Garrett Ozbun. Tuesday, the JV beat Perryville 58-31 as Jared Thomas had 14 points, Ozbun 12 and Reece 10.

Top-seeded Twin Rivers routed No. 4 Chaffee 80-57 and No. 2 Delta rolled past No. 3 Woodland 77-43 in the semifinals of the Delta New Year's Tournament.
In consolation semifinals, No. 5 St. Vincent defeated No. 8 Chaffee JV 57-26 and No. 6 Oran beat No. 7 East Prairie 58-44.
Amanda Lance poured in 38 points for Twin Rivers. For Chaffee (4-6), Kegan Orr had 17.
Delta (8-1) got 24 points from Ashley Elliott and 13 from Sarah Cook. Woodland was led by Cortney Glastetter with 17 and Amanda Abner with 16.
Sierra Paulus led St. Vincent (3-6) with 28 points and Ashley Richardet had 10. Casey Guzman scored 16 for Chaffee's JV.
Tiffany Glastetter scored 25 points for Oran and Courtney Nenninger had 13. East Prairie got 13 from Liddia Thomure.
The tournament concludes Saturday.
