The Charleston boys basketball team, in its fifth consecutive Class 3 final four appearance, advanced to its third straight championship game.

Now the Bluejays will bid for their first state championship since 1996 when they play Kansas City Pembroke Hill today.

Charleston slipped past Bowling Green 49-44 on Thursday morning in a Class 3 semifinal game at Mizzou Arena in Columbia.

Justin Clark scored 15 points to lead the Bluejays. Jamarcus Williams added 12 and Sherrell scored 11.

Charleston (28-3) plays 12:20 p.m. today against Pembroke Hill (24-6), which beat Spokane 60-53 on Thursday.
