Chris Chambers, a junior member of Southeast Missouri State University's basketball team, has left the squad for personal reasons.
Southeast coach Ron Shumate said Chambers, a 6-foot-2 guard, would continue as a student at Southeast and would concentrate on his academics.
"We certainly wish Chris the best and know that he will be successful in the classroom and after graduation," said Shumate.
Chambers had played in 12 of 18 games this season and was averaging 2.8 points a contest. He made one start.
For his career, Chambers played in 68 games, averaging 3.1 points a contest.
