CHAFFEE -- Chaffee's volleyball team turned in a memorable performance Wednesday night, defeating visiting Notre Dame in three sets.

After dropping the first set 12-15, Chaffee recovered to post 15-12, 15-5 victories.

"It was a big win for us," said Chaffee coach Paulette Crouthers, who saw her team improve to 5-13-2. "We went as far back as we could go and we think this is the first time we've ever beaten them."

Jill Little paced Chaffee's attack with nine kills while Jennifer Vandeven had four. Amy Burnett finished with 19 assists and Angela Holland had six digs.

Notre Dame won the JV match 15-1, 15-3.

Scott City 15-15

Charleston 4-11

SCOTT CITY -- Mindy Miller collected four kills as Scott City swept aside Charleston.

The Lady Rams improved to 8-9-3 on the season.

In JV play, Charleston won 15-9, 15-11.
