Central junior Kobe Franklin shot a 4-over-par 75 to tie for third place at the Class 3 Sectional 1 meet Tuesday at Fox Haven Country Club in Sikeston, Missouri, and qualified for the state tournament.
Franklin will be joined by Notre Dame sophomore Jonathan Bell (78) and senior Trent Schumer (83), who also qualified for the Class 3 state meet Monday and Tuesday at Silo Ridge Golf Club in Bolivar, Missouri.
Farmington and Sikeston finished 1-2 in the team standing to claim the two team berths for the state meet. Farmington finished with a 320 total, 10 shots ahead of Sikeston. Notre Dame (334) placed fourth, four shots out of the runner-up spot and three shots behind third-place Lutheran South (331).
The top 12 individuals not on the state qualifying teams also qualified for the individual medalist play at the state tournament.
Notre Dame's Jon Renner shot an 84 to place 20th and finish one shot short of qualifying. Chandler Dorris rounded out the Bulldogs' team score with an 89.
Central's Luke Kinder also fell short of qualifying with an 85, as did teammate Christian Retter, who shot 100.
Dexter's Ethan Stevens claimed the medalist honor with a 2-under-par 69, finishing three strokes ahead of Sikeston's Gabe Wheeler.
