Central blanked Jefferson City 2-0 in the first round of the Francis Howell tournament on Friday.
Lance Altenthal scored 5 minutes into the game for the Tigers (4-1) with an assist from Justin Lambert. Sam Bornstein then assisted Brooks Osburn for another goal at the 20-minute mark.
Jordan Young recorded the shutout in goal.
Central will take on either Francis Howell North or Kansas City Oak Park today in a semifinal game at noon. The championship will be played at 6 p.m. tonight.
Jackson tied DeSmet its first game in a tournament at Rolla.
DeSmet scored 17 minutes into the game, but Jackson's Chris Shelton countered unassisted three minutes later with his fifth goal of the season.
Tyler Holman made seven saves for the Indians (2-1-2).
Jackson will continue tournament play at 9 a.m. today against Camden, followed by a 12:30 p.m. matchup with Helias.
Notre Dame allowed its second goal of the season in a road loss to three-time defending Class 1 state champion Whitfield.
Whitfield scored about midway through the first half on a shot that Notre Dame goalie Nathan Kolda lost in the sun.
"We played very, very well," Bulldogs coach Brad Wittenborn said. "We created three or four really quality chances to score and didn't finish them. I'm very pleased with how we played."
Notre Dame dropped to 4-2 with the loss.

Delta defeated district rival Naylor for the first time in two years.
Kayla Seabaugh went the distance for the win, striking out eight batters and allowing four hits and one earned run.
Kaci Menz went 2-for-4 with a triple and Sara Blattel added two hits for Delta (3-6).
