Central's girls swimming team grabbed its third state cut in its last meet of the season with a first-place finish in the 400 free relay Monday at Central Municipal Pool.

The team of Hannah Kinder, Hannah Lewis, Cassie Kipper and Sarah Goeke finished in a time of 3:59.70. Central won the dual over Parkway North 99-87.

Scott Co. Central 5, Delta 4After the potential tying-run reached base on an error to lead off the seventh, Daniel Holman struck out the side to preserve a road victory for Scott County Central and keep Delta winless.

Scott County had 12 hits, including a home run from Jeremy Johnson. Johnson, Josh Woods, Andrew Pullen and Chris Pobst had two hits apiece.

Cody Crowden had two of Delta's (0-11) three hits. Holman fanned 15 in seven innings of work.

GIRLS SOCCER

Jackson 5, Poplar Bluff 0Molly Hartmann scored a pair of goals in a road win.

Shay Priester, Emily Curtis and Whitney Dietl scored a goal apiece. Kylie Werner got the shutout. Jackson improved to 19-3-1.

Jackson's JV won 4-0.

Perryville 4, Hillsboro 0Perryville scored four first-half goals and came away with a road win.

Ashly Hadler scored twice, and Kelley Hadler and Jocelyn Moll added goals for the Pirates (12-9). Megan Blechle (2), Ashley Riney and Chris Schremp had assists.

Chastity Marr made four saves for her sixth shutout. Perryville will play St. Vincent at 4 p.m. today in a rescheduled game.

St. Vincent 4, Farmington 1Sierra Paulus scored in the first minute of the game to help send St. Vincent to a home victory.

Rachel Hadler also scored in the first half, and Jessica Berhle and Joy Donze added second-half goals. Donze, Whitney Guth and Valerie Richardet picked up assists for St. Vincent (8-15).
