Sam Gramling earned a pair of third-place finishes to pace the Central boys swimming team at a meet in Springfield, Mo., on Saturday.

Gramling bettered his state-cut time in the 200 freestyle. He also helped the 400 freestyle relay take fifth and the 200 freestyle relay finish seventh at the 18-team meet.

The Tigers scored 140 points. Rockhurst won the meet.

Caleb Coots was fifth in the 200 individual medley.

In a meet Friday, Ramsay Scott bettered his state-cut time in the 500 freestyle, while Coots improved his time in the 200 freestyle.
