The Central boys swimming team finished first in all but two of the 12 events in a dual meet Tuesday at the Central Municipal Pool en route to a 116-69 win over visiting Notre Dame.
Central (4-4) won all three relays, but Notre Dame's second-place 200-yard medley relay team of Jordan Voss, Jameson Kuper, Edward Doyle and Adam Reinagel provided some excitement for the Bulldogs by qualifying for the state meet with a time of 1 minute, 48.76 seconds.
"It's always a good meet with Notre Dame," Central coach Dayna Powell said. "It was good to see them get the relay cut."
Notre Dame will wrap up its dual meet season Thursday at Principia, and Central will compete in the Springfield Invitational on Saturday before the two teams meet with Poplar Bluff in the season-ending SEMO Conference meet Feb. 1-2 at Central Municipal Pool.
Central's Jason Mercer was part of four first-place finishes Tuesday, including the medley relay, 50 freestyle, 100 butterfly and 400 free relay.
Hunter Givens won the 100 backstroke and the 50 freestyle events and was part of two winning relays for the Tigers.
Kuper won the 200 IM and the 100 breaststroke for the Bulldogs.
