Victoria Schabbing singled to knock in the go-ahead run in the seventh inning as the Central softball team beat Sikeston 3-2 on Tuesday.

Emily Myers went 2-for-3 in the win.

The Tigers struck for a pair of runs in the sixth and the game-winner in the seventh.

"This group has been fighting through it and it doesn't matter how many runs we're down, they've been sticking with it and trying to fight through it," Central coach Amy Blattel said.

Amanda Nichols earned the win for Central (6-5).

Nikki Chambers hit a three-run homer and the Bulldogs easily defeated the Mules.

Lauren Reinagel struck out 10 batters en route to her seventh win of the season.

Paris Burger, Jane Morrill, Alex Fowler and Chambers all tallied two base hits for Notre Dame (7-0).

Jessica Riley shut down the Rams on the mound and did damage at the plate as well.

Riley pitched five innings, allowed one run on six hits and struck out two batters. Riley added two RBIs at the plate.

Londyn Backfisch hit a solo home run and Carissa Klipfel tallied two RBIs for Kelly (6-1).

Macy Heisserer had two hits and Holli Shemonia added three hits for Scott City (0-8).

Kendra Burnett silenced the East Prairie bats long enough for the offense to catch up.

Burnett struck out 16, walked none and allowed three hits over nine innings.

Burnett went 2-for-5 at the plate, while Rachel Bartels went 4-for-4 with the game-winning single in the top of the ninth for Delta (5-2).

Katie Brucker singled to lead off the ninth, stole second and scored on Bartels' single.

Notre Dame 91, Jackson 68

The Bulldogs knocked off rival Jackson in a dual meet Monday.

Logan Bollinger led Notre Dame with two individual first-place finishes and took part in two first-place relays. Coleman Schott added an individual first place and took part in the relays.

Katie Diebold led Scott City with 10 assists, Katie Hogan tallied eight digs and four aces and Brooke Simpson added 11 kills.

Danielle Beel led the way with eight kills and four blocks and Abby Landewee added eight kills and three blocks in the win.

Lauren Seiler tallied 20 assists and Kelli Woodfin recorded eight digs for the Wildcats (4-0).

Courtney Brune and Chelsey Kight had five kills apiece for the Panthers (2-2). Ashley Doublin totaled 13 assists.

The Tigers fell at home to the Bearcats.

Charis Stewart had four kills, Angela Morton added four assists and Amanda Kaverman had five digs for Central.

Saxony Lutheran picked up a road victory in three games.

Natalie Bauwens led Perryville (4-2) with seven kills. Ava Johnson had three aces.

Kaitlin McCormick put down eight kills while Lauren Johnson added seven in a losing effort.
