Josh Compas scored two goals Tuesday to help Central to a 6-1 win over Poplar Bluff in a Class 3 District 1 tournament soccer semifinal contest.
Dillon Huber, Zach Zaruba, Garrett Duncan and Michael Denmark each scored one goal for the Tigers (17-9).
Tuesday's other tournament semifinal saw host Jackson lose to Seckman in penalty kicks after the squads had battled to a scoreless tie.
Jackson (13-12) made its first penalty kick, but missed its next three. Seckman nailed three of its penalty kicks to seal the victory.
"It was good defense both ways, we just didn't score," Jackson coach Zack Walton said.
Central will play Seckman at 6 p.m. Thursday in Jackson for the district championship.
