FARMINGTON -- Cape Central knocked off district foe Farmington with an impressive 67-54 victory Tuesday night.
The Lady Tigers got 18 from Dionna Webb, 14 from Sara Hyslop and 12 from Katie Dougherty.
"We played hard," said Central coach Darrick Smith. "We had some good performances."
Central's Heather Jenkins got her first playing time in well over a month after suffering a knee injury. She scored two points.
"She did some good things," Smith said. "She was a bit rusty, but it was just good to see her out there."
Hyslop hit eight of her nine free throws late in the game.
Central will play host to fourth-ranked Poplar Bluff tonight at 7:30.
"That should be a good game," Smith said. "I hope we don't disappoint, but I don't think we will."
Poplar Bluff defeated Central 51-37 in the HealthSouth Classic on Dec. 22.
"Now we've got Heather back and have a deeper bench," Smith said. "There were a lot of factors to consider in that first game."
