Central pulled away in the fourth quarter after a close game throughout to pick up a 54-44 road win Monday over Doniphan

Anna Brisso dropped in 20 points and Megan McDonald had 18 for Central. Victoria Wilson added 10 as the Tigers improved to 7-4.

Amy Cox had 16 and Karrie Thomas had 11 for Doniphan.

Central took a 37-32 lead into the fourth quarter and doubled its lead.

Central's junior varsity lost to Doniphan 34-27.

Notre Dame 67, Fredericktown 22

Notre Dame jumped out to a 19-2 lead in the first quarter on its way to a 67-26 road win over Fredericktown.

Ashley Millham led the visiting Bulldogs with 22 points. Ali Tyson had 10 points and Katie Palmer, Sommer McCauley and Sierra Ellis each had eight for Notre Dame (4-6).

Notre Dame's junior varsity defeated Fredericktown 48-32.

Scott City 67, Woodland 26

Scott City pushed above the .500 mark with an easy win against Woodland.

Jenny Pinkston hit three 3-pointers on her way to a game-high 23 points. Kristin Schaefer added 10 as Scott City (6-5) outscored Woodland 34-14 in the second half.

Scott City's junior varsity defeated Woodland 49-20.

BOYS' SWIMMING

John Burroughs 100, Notre Dame 80

Notre Dame picked up five first-place finishes in a road meet, but it was not enough to keep the Bulldogs from falling to 4-4 in dual meets.

Jameson Kuper had two of Notre Dame's firsts, winning the 200 (1:57.34) and 500 freestyles (5:19.24). Jordan Kuper won the 100 freestyle (55.42) and John Stoverink placed first in diving (167.8). The Kupers were also members of the winning 400 freestyle relay squad (3:40.27), which also consisted of John Fisher and Mark Lester.

JV BASKETBALL

Saxony Lutheran 42, Central freshmen 39

Tim Lorenz scored 18 points and John Volkerding added 12 as Saxony Lutheran defeated Central's freshmen.

Xavier Delph scored 11 points for Central.

Saxony improved to 10-3.
