DE SOTO, Mo. -- Alayah Cooper-Johnson notched a double-double with 26 points and 17 rebounds as the Central girls basketball team routed De Soto Wednesday night.

Bailey Kratochvil added 15 points and five assists as the Tigers improved to 4-1 on the season.

Central broke open a close game by outscoring De Soto 11-4 in the second period to open a 28-17 halftime lead.

"Our defense tonight was down a bit," Tigers coach Sherri Shirrell said. "We changed our press at halftime and were able to create more turnovers."
