The Central football team used a big third quarter to knock off host Sikeston 29-17 Friday night.
Sikeston dominated the first half and carried a 17-6 lead into the break. Central then controlled the second half, scoring 23 third-quarter points to win going away.
Quarterback Dennis Vinson threw touchdown passes of 56 yards to Al Young and 35 yards to Bailey Keller. Vinson also scored on a 2-yard run.
Young added Central's other touchdown on a 10-yard run.
Chris Word and Reese Porter scored Sikeston's touchdowns, on runs of 15 and 11 yards, respectively.
Word rushed for 158 yards on 25 carries while Central had three running backs gain more than 70 yards.
The Tigers improved to 3-4 overall and 3-1 in SEMO North Conference play with their second straight win.
The Bulldogs fell to 5-2 overall and 2-2 in the SEMO North Conference with their second straight loss.
