Blake Slattery connected with Eric Ennis on two touchdown passes in the second half, as the Central football team picked up its first win with a 24-6 decision Friday night at St. Charles, Mo.
Ennis caught two TD passes, sophomore George Hamilton returned a kickoff for a TD, and Tyler McNabb kicked a field goal and three extra points for Central (1-3).
McNabb's 18-yard field goal came in the closing seconds of the first half and sent the Tigers into the locker room ahead 10-6 -- their first halftime lead of the year.
Central put the game away with a 43-yard pass play from Slattery to Ennis and later a 9-yard completion between the same parties on a pass that was deflected.
Michael Lee ran for two touchdowns and threw two touchdown passes to Trenton Horman to lead the Red Devils (2-2) to a road win.
The game was halted at the start of the fourth period with a tornado spotted 12 miles away.
Rector (0-4) hasn't won a game since re-establishing the program last year.
Perryville was hit hard by storms that caused a power outage and storm delay, but the Pirates improved to 3-1 with a home victory over the Rebels.
"Three-and-one, that flows so much better off the tongue," said Pirates coach Rick Chastain, whose team was 0-10 last year.
Kris Cottner led the Pirates offense with 156 yards on 25 carries and two touchdowns. He and Brian Birchler scored first-half TDs that put Perryville ahead 14-0.
After Park Hills Central (2-2) closed to within 14-12, Cottner ripped off a long touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
The Rams (1-2) will make up the game 3 p.m. today at Fredericktown.
St. Vincent and Maplewood-Richmond Heights played about 2 minutes of football before lightning caused a delay and eventually a postponement.
The game has been rescheduled for 2 p.m. today.
