The Central Tigers boys swimming team captured first place in six of 11 events to win the Show Me Conference meet on Thursday at Central Municipal Pool.
Central freshman Brogan Davis powered the Tigers past their competition by winning all three of his individual races.
"We hardly have any words," Central coach Dayna Powell said about Davis. "He's an amazing swimmer. He's so exciting to watch. I don't even think he's gotten close to seeing how fast he can go. It's going to be fun watching him swim in a few years."
Central scored 464.5 points to lead the team standings.
Powell said she was also impressed with Central junior Lawson Berry, who had two-first place finishes, including the best score in the one-meter dive.
Jackson's Jack Gard placed first in two events to help the Indians to a third-place finish with 441.5 points. Second-place Notre Dame finished just 3 1/2 points ahead of the Indians with 444 points.
"It could be anybody's meet. It was very exciting," Powell said. "The guys went out and really came together as a team. They fought in every race for every point. ... It was outstanding. It was just a great night."
