The Central boys soccer team continued its strong season Wednesday with a 3-0 win over visiting Jackson. Duncan McKinley, Nick Barnes and Brennon Reeves each scored a goal as the Tigers (10-7) beat the rival Indians (6-9-1) for the second time this season...

The Central boys soccer team continued its strong season Wednesday with a 3-0 win over visiting Jackson.

Duncan McKinley, Nick Barnes and Brennon Reeves each scored a goal as the Tigers (10-7) beat the rival Indians (6-9-1) for the second time this season.

Barnes and Matt Chism each had one assist. Goalkeeper Austin Bagley recorded nine saves for the shutout.

Fredericktown 5, Saxony Lutheran 4

Logan Sprandel scored all four goals in the Crusaders' road loss.

Collin Sprandel, Brandon Fritsche and Hunter Coe recorded assists for Saxony.

VOLLEYBALL

Perryville 25 25 St. Vincent 20 23

Natalie Gremaud had 10 kills and served eight aces as the host Pirates downed crosstown rival St. Vincent for their 20th win.

Kristen Triller recorded eight kills and Libbi Schnurbusch had 14 digs for Perryville (20-4).

Jackson 25 26 Scott City 15 24

Sara Thompson served four aces and recorded 11 digs as Jackson (10-13-2) downed host Scott City (8-12-1).

Hailey Mouser led the Indians (10-13-2) in kills with six. Chelsea Fowler and Alexa Kelpe each had five assists.

JV -- Jackson won 19-25, 25-11, 25-16.

Jackson's Kristian Troxel was a double individual winner during the triangular meet in St. Louis.

Troxel captured the 50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke.

Other local individual winners were Notre Dame's Jackson Voss (200 freestyle), Dustin Parsons (100 butterfly) and Zach Smith (200 individual medley), along with Jackson's Mac Rinacke (diving).
