The Central baseball team bounced back to earn a split in its second game at the McCracken County tournament in Kentucky.
Brad Labruyere pitched six innings, allowing three runs on seven hits and striking out four, in the first game against Lexington, Ky. Lexington squeaked out the 3-2 victory. Central managed four hits, all singles.
In the second game, Blake Slattery went 2-for-4 with four RBIs as the Tigers earned the 5-4 victory over Mt. Zion, Ill.
Justin Myers got the win, thanks in part to Nick Allen and Matt Hester, who had two hits apiece for the Tigers (5-3).
Central will play two more games today.

St. Louis Midwest Classic
Oran blew its first game and stormed back to win its second game in the St. Louis Midwest Classic.
In the first game, Oran led Lindbergh 5-4 heading into the seventh inning and surrendered two runs to lose its first game of the season. Lindbergh had just two hits.
Steven Dooley had two RBIs to lead Oran.
In the second game, the Eagles (7-1) scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth to complete the comeback.
Francis Howell North scored in the top of the eighth to take the lead, but Kody Campbell had an RBI double to tie the game and Tyler Beardslee hit a game-winning single.
Caleb Seyer added two RBIs.

Jackson remained undefeated with a 1-0 win over Park Hill of Kansas City, Mo., at the Hazelwood College Showcase.
The Indians improved to 4-0.
Chelsea Dale scored the lone goal midway through the first half on an assist from Lauren Drewett. Lindsay Poole made seven saves for the shutout.
