JUPITER, Fla. -- Javier Vazquez pitched 6 2/3 innings of five-hit ball and the Marlins beat the St. Louis Cardinals 4-2 on Tuesday to extend their unbeaten streak to 10 games.

Cardinals left-hander Jaime Garcia struck out seven over six sparkling innings in his best start of the spring. He gave up one run and three hits.

Garcia, St. Louis' No. 3 starter, came into the game with a 7.94 ERA.

Colby Rasmus homered in the first inning for St. Louis.

The Marlins scored three runs in the eighth inning off Mitchell Boggs.
