The Plaza Tire Capahas managed just four hits in an 8-2 road loss to Fairview Heights on Wednesday.
Fairview Heights pitcher Josh Meyle did not allow a hit until the seventh inning, when the Capahas (5-4) scored their only two runs.
Fairview, which finished with 12 hits, grabbed a 3-0 lead after the first inning and lead 8-0 after six.
Chad Boganpohl suffered the loss for Plaza Tire.
He scattered nine hits and struck out three batters in 6 2/3 innings.
Shayn Mabury replaced Boganpohl in the seventh and allowed three hits in the last 2 1/3 innings. Mabury struck out four.
Dustin Pritchett broke up the no-hitter with a leadoff single in the seventh. Daryl Graham singled to put runners at the corners before Jamie McAlister and Josh Ford connected on back-to-back RBI singles with two outs.
The Capahas will begin a six-game weekend homestand on Friday with a doubleheader against the Riverdogs.
