In the opener, James Powell pitched all seven innings, allowing two hits and no earned runs. He struck out eight and walked three.

Powell and Arthur Pilsner each had two of Cape's nine hits while Chris Honey belted a two-run home run.

Tim Davis pitched brilliantly in the nightcap, hurling a one-hitter, with 13 strikeouts and one walk.

Again the Yankees had nine hits, led by Matt Wilson with three. Pilsner delivered a two-run homer.
