Commerce Bank scored 17 runs in the second inning to take control and improve to 8-7 overall.

The Cape SEMO Bank Junior Legion spilt a doubleheader with Chaffee late Tuesday night at Capaha Field.

SEMO Bank (13-10, 9-2) rallied from an 8-1 deficit in the fifth inning of the first game for a 9-8 win. Chaffee won the nightcap 15-6.

Cape's Tom Wencewicz ripped a two-out, two-run triple to complete a seven-run seventh inning in the first game to tie the score 8-8. He had three of Cape's 13 hits. Matt Bollinger doubled in the winning run in the bottom of the eighth.

John Snider hurled a scoreless eighth for the win.
