The Cape Girardeau SEMO Bank Jr. Legion baseball team won three games over two days to get warmed up for their six-team baseball tournament starting today.

SEMO Bank beat Sikeston 11-1 in six innings Wednesday at Cape Central and Tuesday night swept a doubleheader from Jackson at Capaha Field 11-9 and 6-4. The wins improved SEMO Bank to 8-7 overall and 6-1 in district play.

Matt Bollinger pitched all six innings in the Sikeston victory, allowing six hits and no walks while striking out three. He also had two hits and two RBIs. Josh McIntosh added two hits and three RBIs. SEMO Bank clubbed eight hits as a team.

In the first game Tuesday night, SEMO Bank scored seven runs in the bottom of the sixth to propel them to victory. Bollinger had an inside-the-park grand slam in that inning to put Cape ahead 11-8.

Bollinger, Justin Welker and Ty Fiddler all had two of SEMO Banks 10 hits. Richard Harrison had three RBIs on one hit.

Joe Hamilton pitched three innings of relief, allowing three earned runs on five hits, for the win.

In the nightcap, McIntosh went the distance on the mound and made Cape's three hits hold up. Tommy Wencewicz, Zac Fiddler and Tim Huckstep had SEMO Banks three hits. Chris Farrows had two RBIs.

SEMO Bank plays Chaffee twice today at Cape Central. The first game is a make-up game at 2 p.m. and the second game starts at five and marks the beginning of the SEMO Bank Tournament.
