The Cape Girardeau American Legion junior team was swept by Scott County 10-0 and 10-8 on Wednesday night.
Andy Stephens was the winning pitcher for Scott County in the first game, a five-inning contest. Tyler Bruce took the loss.
Jacob Essner was the winning pitcher in the second game, while Blake Slattery took the loss.
Philip Brotherton had two hits in each game forCape's Kelso Supply, which is 8-8 and hosts Dunklin County 4:30 p.m. today at Notre Dame.
The Cape junior team had split a pair of games with Sikeston on Tuesday night. The Cape squad lost the opener 6-3 and rebounded for an 18-8 win in the nightcap.
Sikeston pitcher Chase Seyer outdueled Kelso Supply's Brad LaBrueyere in the first game. LaBruyere struck out 10 in pitching a seven-inning complete game.
In the second game, Chris Brotherton had three hits and drove in four runs to lead Kelso Supply. Lucas Moll added two hits and drove in three runs. Brett Heischmidt was the winning pitcher in a five-inning game.
