The Cape Girardeau Ford & Sons American Legion Post 63 baseball team dropped a pair of games to visiting Charleston Senior Babe Ruth on Monday at Capaha Field.
Charleston claimed the opener 13-3 in five innings, then won 6-0 behind the two-hit pitching of Doug Still.
Trey Tigart was the winning pitcher in the opener for Charleston, which outhit Cape 10-6. Drew Bartels took the loss.
Brad Potts had two hits, including a triple, and three RBIs for Charleston.
Ryan Fortner had two hits and three RBIs in the nightcap for Charleston, which broke open a 1-0 game with five runs in the seventh.
Thomas Crocetti took the loss for Cape (2-3).
The Cape Girardeau Plaza Junior American Legion baseball team defeated Festus in the third-place game of the Memorial Day tournament in Jackson on Sunday.
Hayden Lynn pitched all seven innings to record the win for Cape (2-2). Lynn struck out eight and walked one.
Nick Jones went 3 for 3 with a double for Cape, while Justin Vaught added two hits.
