The Cape Girardeau American Legion junior team's season came to an end with an 8-4 loss Friday to Jackson in an elimination game at the District 14 tournament at VFW Stadium in Sikeston.
Cape, which had lost 11-1 to top-seeded Sikeston on Thursday, finished its season 18-22.
Joe Uhls drove in two runs with a double for Cape, and Nick Allen had two hits.
Tyler Brandt took the loss after allowing five runs -- three earned -- in 5 1/3 innings.
Farmington took advantage of five Ford & Sons errors and routed Cape Girardeau's American Legion team 9-2 at Farmington on Thursday.
Lance Young allowed seven runs -- two earned -- in seven innings for the loss. Young struck out eight, walked two and allowed seven hits.
Blake Slattery had two of Cape's five hits and drove in a run. Cape batters struck out a combined 13 times.
Cape Girardeau will play district foe Scott County in a nine-inning contest at 3 p.m. today at Notre Dame.
