CAPE CENTRAL TO HOLD SEVERAL SPORTS CAMPS OVER SUMMER MONTHS

Cape Girardeau Central High School will hold a variety of summer athletic camps.

The camps will be held at Central's campus, except for the soccer camps, which will be at Shawnee Park.

All camps will include basic insurance coverage for participants.

Participants can sign up at the camp or call the Central athletic director's office (335-8467) for more information.

Soccer Camps

A girls camp for grades 9-12 will be held June 19-23 from 4-6 p.m.

A boys camp for grades 9-12 will be held June 26-30 from 4-6 p.m.

Cost for each camp is $20, which includes a camp T-shirt.

Boys Basketball Camps

There will be two camps, a shooting camp and a regular camp.

The shooting camp will be held June 13-16.

Grades 3-6 will be from 9-11:30 a.m., grades 7-9 will be from 1-3:30 p.m. and grades 10-12 will be from 6-8:30 p.m.

The regular camp will be held June 19-23.

Grades 3-6 will be from 9-11 a.m. and grades 7-9 will be from 1-3 p.m.

Cost for both camps is $20, which includes a camp T-shirt.

Tennis Camp

For boys and girls, the camp will be held June 19-23.

Beginners will be from 8-10 a.m., intermediate/advanced will be from 10:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. and adult will be from 5:45-7:45 p.m.

Cost is $20, which includes a camp T-shirt.

Girls Basketball Camps

The first camp, for grades 4-8, will be held June 26-30 from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

The second camp, for grades 9-12, will be held July 10-14 from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Cost for each camp is $20, which includes a camp T-shirt.

Football Camp

This free camp, for grades 8-12, will be held July 17-21 from 5-7:30 p.m.

Cross Country Camp

This free camp, for grades 9-12, will be held July 17-21 from 8:30-10:30 a.m.

Wrestling Camp

This camp, for grades 5-12, will be held June 19-23 from 6-8 p.m. Some exceptions can be made for those younger than fifth grade.

Cost for the camp is $20, which includes a camp T-shirt.
