A good start to the Cape Central boys tennis season turned to a great start on Saturday as the Tigers defeated perennial power Parkway West at the Southeast Missouri State University courts.
Not only did the Tigers post their first victory ever over the St. Louis school, they did so in convincing fashion, winning 9-0.
"The most we ever got on them was two games," said Cape Central coach Bud Craven. "This is huge. We've been playing them for several years."
The victory improved Central's record to 7-0 in dual matches.
The Tigers also won the JV match 6-3.
Central returns to action Thursday at Poplar Bluff.
