The Cape Central Tigers prepare for the SEMO Conference Tournament with a 13-3 rain-soaked blowout win over Herculaneum on Thursday at Cape Central High School.
Cape Central (9-11) breaks a three-game losing streak with the win.
Cole Proffer started the scoring for the Tigers with an RBI single in the first inning. The Tigers then scored four runs in the second inning, highlighted by a Morgan Diamond single and a Jathan Spain triple.
Proffer was a winner on the mound for the Tigers, throwing six innings with three strikeouts while allowing three runs on three hits.
Carter Crosnoe went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Tigers, who knocked in 10 hits and stole nine bases.
The Tigers host the first two rounds of the SEMO Conference Tournament, starting with a first-round matchup with New Madrid County Central on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
