Cape Central's eighth and ninth grade boys basketball teams will both play for championships tonight after posting wins Wednesday in Central's junior high tournaments.

Central's ninth graders (11-0) won 75-43 over Notre Dame. Central got 17 points from Michael Brown and 14 from Cape Central. Matt Wulfers and Lee Essner each had 13 for Notre Dame.

In the other ninth-grade game, Jackson downed New Madrid 43-38.

In eighth-grade action, Central (7-3) defeated Sikeston 40-35 and Poplar Bluff beat Jackson 43-32. Larenzo Braxton scored 24 to lead the Tigers, while Brandon Twigs put in 12.

The championship games will be played at 7:15 at Cape Central.
