The Cape Central girls swimming team finished second in the Season of Thorns Invitational on Saturday in the SEMO Rec Center.

The Tigers scored 281.5 points. Cor Jesu won the tournament with 353.5 points. Jackson finished fifth with 133 points and Notre Dame finished seventh with 87 points.

The Tigers won the 200-yard medley relay. The team of Addison Ringwald (28.47), Marianne Dean (35.76), Emilie Dickson (27.58), and Isabella Pattengill (25.61) finished with a time of 1:57.42. Ringwald also won the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:23.99.

Cape Central sophomore Sydney Ringwald won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:57.49, and the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.68.

Dickson finished second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:01.35, and third in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:02.61.

The Cape Central duo of Tommy Marriott and Lydia Cao took first and second in the 1-meter dive.

The Tigers finished second in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The team of Sydney Ringwald (25.21), Natalie Voshage (27.87), Avery Criblez (29.45), and Dickson (25.80) finished with a time of 1:48.33.

The Ringwald sisters banned together, along with Dean and Pattengill, to finish second in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of (3:45.68).

Jackson sophomore Ava Walters won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 58.88. She also finished in second in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:15.86.
