The Cape Girardeau Central Lady Tigers celebrated Senior Night Monday with a 77-20 pounding of the Sikeston Lady Bulldogs.
Lady Tiger senior guard Nicole Thiele had a night to remember in her final home game by setting a school record with 20 deflections and also tied a school mark with 11 steals while scoring 14 points.
The home win pushed the Lady Tigers record to 18-6 on the year with their next game at Notre Dame this Saturday. Lady Tiger coach Paula Watkins said the lopsided score helped her senior girls to relax and enjoy their final game in front of the home crowd.
"This was a good game for the seniors to go out on," said Watkins. "All of the seniors did an excellent job."
Senior Laura Lukens led the Lady Tigers with 17 points. Senior Elizabeth Kunz added 10 points along with junior Amy Harris.
Central jumped ahead 33-4 after one quarter and led 50-8 at halftime.
Jackson 72, Farmington 39
FARMINGTON -- Jackson hit the 20-win plateau Monday with a comfortable win over Farmington.
The Lady Indians, behind 16 points from Michele Millham, improved to 20-2 on the season.
"It's always nice to get 20 wins," said Jackson coach Ron Cook. "There was a time when we never got close to it."
Jackson's Dana Eakins hit four 3-point shots and finished with 14 points. Christa Millham finished with 11.
Jackson led throughout, leading 18-9 after one quarter and 38-20 at halftime.
The Lady Indians will visit North County on Thursday.
Scott City 112, Puxico 17
SCOTT CITY -- Sarah Emerson accomplished a triple-double, scoring a career-best 40 points and adding 14 rebounds and 14 steals as Scott City annihilated visiting Puxico.
Scott City improved to 15-5 with the victory.
Scott City iced the game in the first quarter with a 32-4 scoring advantage and led 62-8 at halftime.
The lead grew throughout despite platooning by Scott City as early as midway through the first quarter.
"Puxico is just young," said Scott City Randy White.
Amy O'Brien added 18 points for the Lady Rams, Tara Sanford finished with 14 and Sarah Glenn netted 10.
Jackie Payne scored 10 points for Puxico.
Scott City returns to action Wednesday when it hosts Woodland in a 6:30 p.m. makeup game.
Arcadia Valley 87, St. Vincent 34
IRONTON -- Arcadia Valley's Katee McCarty tossed in eight 3-point bombs on her way to a game-high 26 points and destroyed any chance the visiting St. Vincent Squaws had to compete.
St. Vincent (5-15) fell behind 18-4 after one quarter and by halftime trailed 42-8.
Freshman Sara Cissell scored all eight of her points during the third quarter but it was hardly enough for the Squaws. Becky Lorenz led St. Vincent with 10 points and Debbie Welker added nine assists.
Portageville 51, Oran 20
ORAN - Portageville's Lady Bulldogs used a rugged man-to-man defense in the second quarter to race away after falling behind on the road to Oran Monday night.
Trailing 6-5 entering the second quarter, Portageville switched out of its zone defense and outscored the Lady Eagles 19-5 to take a 24-11 lead at halftime.
"They just outsized us," Oran coach Adrian Eftink said. "Portageville hit the boards real well."
The Lady Bulldogs continued their tough defense to extend the lead to 38-14 entering the final quarter. Melissa Looper and Heather Cook led Oran with five points each.
Charleston 42, Chaffee 39
CHAFFEE -- Charleston used precise free throw shooting to hold off Chaffee Monday.
The Lady Blue Jays, who led 30-26 at the start of the fourth quarter, hit on 10 of 14 free throws in the final period to secure the win.
Emily Hobbs scored 13 points for Charleston, while Stacey Galmore added 11 and Carlotta Mims netted 10.
Brandi Foulk scored a team-high 12 points for Chaffee (8-11).
Chaffee returns to action Wednesday when Dexter visits for a makeup game.
Dexter 61, Woodland 32
MARBLE HILL -- Woodland fell to 4-9 as Dexter rolled past the host Lady Cardinals Monday night.
Nikki Anderson and Pam Sanderson both scored 10 points for Woodland, which trailed 37-16 at halftime.

Oak Ridge 98, Meadow Heights 57
OAK RIDGE -- The Blue Jays got their break going in the second quarter after a sluggish start Monday night to race away from Meadow Heights in a makeup game with the Panthers.
Senior Kirt Ruehling led five Blue Jays in double-figure scoring with 23 points. Aric Curry knocked down a 3-pointer and scored 19, followed by Matt Preusser's 11, and Matt Mangles and Josh Welsh both added 10 points. The win was the third in the last four games for Oak Ridge which pulled its record to 6-11.
The Panthers trailed only 16-15 after one quarter before the Blue Jays started moving the ball up the floor for some fast-break baskets. At halftime Oak Ridge led 40-27.
The Panthers got 21 points from junior Kevin Weaver and 13 from senior Avery Ennis.
Puxico 81, Leopold 62
LEOPOLD -- Puxico featured a balanced scoring attack that saw six players reach double figures in a victory over Leopold.
Chris Bornfield scored 18 points to pace the Puxico offense.
Calvin Horrell netted 13 points for Leopold, followed by Derek Broshouis, 11, and Matt Beussink, 10.
Puxico led 12-10 after one quarter and built a 34-23 lead by halftime.
Leopold, which fell to 7-11, will visit Zalma tonight.
