GOREVILLE, Ill. -- The Kohlfeld Capahas continued their offensive onslaught Wednesday night by routing host Goreville 18-5 in eight innings.

That came on the heels of Tuesday night's 15-7 triumph over the St. Louis Printers in a game played in Ste. Genevieve.

The Capahas, now 28-2, had 21 hits and eight home runs on the small field Wednesday.

Julio Vega, Darin Kinsolving and Tom Breuer all had two homers, with Breuer driving in five runs. Darrick Smith homered and had four hits and four RBIs. Shawn Pemberton also had four hits while Jason Duncan homered.

Danny Simpher pitched the first four innings in scoreless fashion for the win. He struck out six.

Jerry Wolsey, making his 1997 debut after arm surgery, gave up a run in one inning. Duncan allowed four runs over the final three innings.

Tuesday, the Capahas had 15 hits, including another four-hit game from Smith, who homered, tripled and doubled. Vega also homered. Cory Crosnoe had three hits while Steve Kress and Ryan Murphy both added two.

Garrett Dunning gave up just one run while fanning nine over 6 2/3 innings.

Chad Bogenpohl came on and allowed six runs in the seventh as the Printers took a 7-6 lead. But The Capahas rallied to hand Bogenpohl the win as he hurled the final two innings in scoreless fashion.

The Capahas return to action Saturday, hosting Paducah in a 5 p.m. doubleheader.
