The Plaza Tire Capahas have started another winning streak.

After having a nine-game victory string snapped Friday at Waterloo, Ill., the Capahas swept a Sunday doubleheader at Henderson, Tenn.

Plaza Tire beat the host Diamond Cats 13-0 and 4-2, making them 4-0 against that squad this season. The Capahas improved to 16-4.

"It was a good day for us," Capahas manager Jess Bolen said. "We hit the ball real well in the first game, our pitching was good and we didn't have an error in either game."

The Capahas banged out 15 hits in the opener, led by Zach Borowiak. He homered, doubled twice and had six RBIs.

Jerry Hodges also homered for the Capahas. Denver Stuckey had three hits, while Hodges and Omar Padilla added two hits apiece.

Anthony Maupin pitched five innings of one-hit ball for the victory. He struck out seven and walked three.

Ivan Nails and Josh Parham each worked a scoreless inning to finish off the two-hitter.

The Capahas had only four hits in the nightcap, led by Hodges with two, but limited the Diamond Cats to three hits.

Phillip Riley allowed three hits and one earned run in five innings for the win. He struck out four and walked three.
