The Plaza Tire Capahas continued their sizzling start to the season with their most lopsided victory of the young campaign.
Plaza Tire improved to 7-0 by crushing the St. Louis Printers 14-0 Tuesday night during a game played in Ste. Genevieve, Mo.
Steven Dooley and Kenton Parmley were the stars of the game.
Dooley, who joined the Capahas over the weekend after finishing a record-setting, All-American career at Division III Webster University in St. Louis, struck out 16 while pitching all nine innings.
Dooley, an Oran High School graduate, allowed just five hits.
"He was throwing great, keeping the ball down good," Capahas manager Jess Bolen said. "He's just a good addition to our team."
Parmley, a former Southeast Missouri State standout, had five RBIs. He got the Capahas off to a quick lead with a two-run homer in the first inning.
