The St. Louis Raging Bulls have not provided much competition for the Plaza Tire Capahas this year.
The Capahas swept another lopsided doubleheader from the Bulls, 14-1 and 7-0 on Saturday night at Capaha Field.
That came after a June 5 double mauling of the Bulls in St. Louis, 18-0 and 8-1.
The Capahas improved to 18-3 with their seventh straight victory. They end their home schedule today with a 1 p.m. contest against the Bulls.
The Capahas had 20 hits Saturday while the Bulls managed just seven.
Blake Slattery went 3 for 5 in the opener and 2 for 4 in the nightcap. He doubled in both contests and totaled five RBIs.
Dustin Hunter homered and drove in four runs in the opener. He had two hits, as did Kody Campbell, Jake Pewitt and Ky Burgess. Burgess delivered two RBIs.
Bryan Waldrop pitched five innings for the victory. He allowed an unearned run and three hits while striking out three and walking none.
James Leigh worked the final two innings in perfect fashion, striking out five.
Tyler Qualls matched Slattery with two hits in the nightcap. Burgess again had two RBIs to equal Slattery.
Anthony Maupin pitched five innings for the win. He allowed four hits, struck out two and walked one.
Leigh again finished with two hitless innings, striking out six and walking two. He recorded 11 of his 12 outs by strikeout Saturday.
